Just wanted to share my experience.. I tried followed the original instructions 1 year ago, and backed up to and restored from an external drive with no problems. Today, I wanted to use a new drive to create a new backup. After entering the exact terminal line as before (except the new name of the target drive) the terminal feedback read “File already exists”. I then went to try the backup, and received the “corrupted error, delete backups” message as above. When I connected the original backup drive that worked, the backup and restore worked. I wasn’t successful in changing the target external drive, therefore iTunes threw a “corrupted backup error” when the original drive was connected. How do I change the target destination for the backup, What command line would work, November 4, 2017 at 3:23 pm” instructions work, How do I reverse the terminal command so that iTunes will backup to the computer’s hard drive again,
