I am curious if you would try it out and share on your blog, The basics for the game of TicToku was initially developed around 2005 by Dr. Richard Shuntich. He developed TicToku(originally called 7-to-11) primarily with the intent of teaching his grandchildren basic math and strategy skills in a competitive, quick-play game. Dr. Shuntich was a psychology professor at Eastern Kentucky University and had a real passion for education, kids, and challenging puzzles.
He published Richard’s Riddles word puzzles for many years in his local newspaper, The Richmond (KY) Register, and he was always searching for new ways to engage, educate, and challenge people’s minds. Around the time of the development of TicToku, Sudoku was the Shuntich family’s game of choice. After Dr. Shuntich passed away in 2011, another son, Dan Shuntich, became committed to developing and launching an App for TicToku.
Now in App form, the mission of TicToku remains the same as Dr. Shuntich’s original vision, to help educate and challenge minds. The App is free to download, profits earned from TicToku’s in-game advertising donated to causes Dr. Shuntich supported (e.g., education). I am curious if you would try it out and share on your blog,
The next time your kid(s) asks to borrow your phone or tablet for a game of this or that, let him try out this free and colorful 2 Mins Math for Kids! 2 Mins Math for Kids! Yea my son uses one maths app on his android tablet. It is a fun game like app to learn how to do Long division, quite frankly when he asked me to help I felt the floor open up on me lol.
I said its been 25 years since i last thought about Long Division. So i went about searching the Google Apps store for guidance. Yes my kids do, the best so far was an app called Gurgle Numbers for iPad. Great lens thanks for the info. Will check out these games out with my son who is struggling with math. Please check it out!
Great lens. My daughter likes Squeebles. She is very motivated to collect the cute fury monsters. My 6-year-old just started using beluga math today. He's totally into it. The app is challenging him beyond what he has already learned in school. The cookie-monstery voice annoys me, but the little guy doesn't mind it. I can tell you put work into it. That's a nice list of apps.
Another game worth looking into is "Number Up: The cool math game". It's a really fun game that is based on connecting numbers to reach a target sum. Great list. My daughter uses who is in 8th grade uses EduGain Math practice app on Android and it is really useful. Great addition to facilitate learning in the highest regard.
