Unfortunately, there is no way to solve the issue with the default Mail application. The problem is rooted in Google's decision to pull Exchange support three years ago. How do you get push notifications from Gmail accounts, So how do you solve it, Well, as we said, you cannot directly solve it in Mail, but you can get a third-party app that supports push email for Gmail accounts. You can try the official Gmail app for the iPhone, but it has a very ancient design, not great-looking fonts and lacks the neat swipe-to-archive and swipe-to-schedule shortcuts that other apps offer.
If you haven’t read Getting Things Done by David Allen, that’s a book that you need to read. I’ve read a lot of time management books and, hands down it’s the best book out there on time management. Another really good one is The Effective Executive by Peter Drucker as well.
I just want to give you some of the key nuggets if I can from Getting Things Done. The first thing I would suggest is that you carry a notebook and I always carry my notebook, no matter where I go. Always you just write down everything. I got Richard Bandler to sign my book after I took his notes but apparently he’s quite paranoid because a lot of people have ripped him off in the past.
He won’t sign a blank bit of paper, he wanted to sign over my notes because that way I couldn’t take and replicate his signature. Things float around, you’ll always have these seo methods and ideas pop up into your head. It’s almost like your brain is like a vacuum.
It can only hold so much though and if it’s full, nothing new will get in there. So you need to use your notebook to get all of your ideas out into a notebook and that creates space and then new ideas will flood into it. So you should be carrying a notebook with you wherever you go, just to get it out of your head.
The next thing, it’s important to use calendars and free time management tools the right way. A lot of Melbourne SEO people use calendars for to do lists. The way that you should use a calendar, I use Google Calendar and it is a fantastic tool if you don’t use it. I always log in through Gmail because it’s got the links up the top.
So in it I’ve got SEO workshops, I didn’t plan much the day before because I was just doing notes. You can actually set up different calendars for different things. Green I use for my own personal things, red is for work, I’ve even got a birthdays one as well and a few things like that.
You can even have team member calendars as well. I know when different team members are coming into the office. The way you should be using your calendar, and the good thing about the calendar as well, when you use Google Calendar is, you can access it on your iPhone. So I’ve always got that calendar on me. Rather than to do tasks and monitor these using free time management tools, you should be entering in only appointments as keynote speaker, that’s what a calendar is for. Are You Looking For A Business Keynote Speaker To Help Promote Your Small Business,
Google is irritating sometimes. Take the time they removed push notification support for Gmail for iPhone’s Mail app. Say you wanted to run all your mail through the stock app and not download third-party stuff - if you want instant Gmail, too bad. Google doesn’t let you. Unless, of course, you know how to game the system. There are a couple creative hacks you can set up to make sure your messages come through on time to your Gmail without having to wait in 15-minute intervals. Here are the options for getting emails instantly.
This is a little hacky and complicated to set up, but here’s how it works. You’ll use a secondary iCloud account to send and receive mail through your Gmail account from an iDevice. Fair Warning: This will make inbox management of your Gmail account from the desktop very bad. If you set this up, it’s basically transferring everything important to the iCloud account. That means no more Gmail in the browser - you’re better off using iCloud from a desktop app like Thunderbird.
