Android devices with the Google Keyboard
The official Google Keyboard supports Emoji since October 2013 on Android 4.4 far better. If you have a Samsung Galaxy, HTC or Sony Xperia device it will be possible that the stock Google Keyboard is just not installed in your device. Luckily, it is possible to install the Keyboard from Google Play or flash a ZIP file on the rooted Android device To get Emoji suggestions you must do the following:
Navigate to Settings > Language and input > Google Keyboard settings
Tap Add-on Dictionaries underneath the text correction subheading
Download and install Emoji for English Words (or your favourite language, if available). It might be possible that you have to refresh the Add-on Dictionaries first.
You'll now get Emoji suggestions when using the Google Keyboards.
Android devices with SwiftKey
SwiftKey causes it to be really easy to make use of Emoji. I especially just like the fact that it supports Emoji suggestions when typing in the different language than English. If I, for instance, begin to type Fußball (football), the best icon is mandatory. Here's how you can active Emoji using SwiftKey:
1. Open the SwiftKey app
2. Tap Advanced
3. Enable Emoji prediction
That's it. Easy, right, Now enjoy the endless levels of Emoji icons!
