With each passing week, this indicates as if an alternative iPhone 8 rumor is able to grab our attention. One week might present us which has a number of varying theories about where Apple might position the iPhone 8's Touch ID sensor, as the next week might give attention to an endless stream of conflicting reports regarding the iPhone 8's alleged release date. This week, the iPhone 8 rumor taking place focuses on a topic we haven't heard a lot of about — color.

Over recent times, Apple has shown a penchant for introducing a new iPhone model in varying colors to help keep things fresh. With the iPhone 6s, as an example, Apple rolled out its first Rose Gold colored iPhone. And just earlier, Apple introduced a red iPhone 7 included in Apple's ongoing participation with Product Red. It may all be superficial window dressing, nevertheless the reality is that the iPhone inside a completely different color does tend to increase fascination with and sales of the new device.

Geskin later tweeted that this mysterious mirror like color may come in either black or silver. Note that the photos here aren't intended to be realistic renders.

Geskin's information here comes from a source who says he will be familiar with Apple's plans, which is to state that it's probably worth digesting using the requisite a dose of skepticism. Nonetheless, it would not be too surprising to find out Apple wish to accomplish something particularly special for the iPhone 8, if perhaps to help differentiate their flagship iPhone model through the upcoming iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus releases.

It's also worth noting that Apple has tried out mirror like exteriors before, especially on older iPod models. In other words, the notion of the ‘mirror like' iPhone design isn't as far-fetched as it might seem initially.

Colors aside, there is no disputing how the biggest unanswered question around the iPhone 8 centers on the fate with the Touch ID sensor. While early reports indicated that Apple worked out a way to embed the sensor underneath the display itself, a set of reports from a week ago claim that Apple will perhaps do away using the sensor altogether and change it out with an advanced facial recognition scheme. Additionally, reports that the Touch ID sensor might migrate to the back in the device resurfaced to the umpteenth time a week ago.

So whilst the volume of iPhone 8 rumors we've seen within the last few months is pretty large, the influx of conflicting reports points too we still have no idea everything to know about what will likely be the most anticipated iPhone release since original.
