Is it because all your emails come to the same place and it takes you hours to get through them, Do you get overwhelmed, miss important stuff or have a junk mail box that's over the limit again, Well, pour yourself a coffee, put your feet up and find the answer here! Get an email address that is strictly dedicated to your website/blog or business and make sure that it's related to whatever your website/blog or business is.

For my money, I'd get a Googlemail or preferably Gmail address. It's free and there are all kinds of applications (also free) that you can use to enhance your website/blog/business. Many programmes/services/businesses use Google and their apps can be integrated easily and all linked together. There is also the advantage that if you're using Google's services, they're more likely to pay attention and maybe even eventually promote whatever you're doing because it's in their best interests to do so.

You also, by logging into Googlemail every day, have access to everything on Google accounts; great things like Google wonderwheel, keyword tool, alerts and the latest new applications. Despite what some very jaded people say about Google, they do have some very good free systems and applications in place for our use.

Furthermore, you can access your information (ie letters, spreadsheets, email, password sheets, your uploaded CV etc from any computer anywhere in the world. If you're a business person who travels alone and in business class, no big deal. However, more and more people are working from home, have kids, school runs, etc and still have their own businesses with an online presence.

When they travel with the family, (if they're like me, mostly in economy class:) the last thing they need to be dragging around on holiday with all the rest of the paraphernalia, is their laptop! This is where having a gmail account helps. So you can sneak away when the kids are doing kiddie stuff, check your email, write a letter, have a cappuccino, do a little business - and relax, it's all taken care of!

Be sure you ask for an address that is related to your website/business idea (making sure that's it's keyword rich - remember,) and write it down somewhere for a minute. Then, make sure you log both the username and your password to access it in your PASSWORD SHEET (see the article HOW TO DO IT - Password Sheet on this). Once you get busy, you may forget your login details - and that's a pain believe me!

If you don't know what keyword rich means see the article on DOMAINS before you decide on an email address! Once your email is created, you can start using it. Add it to all your correspondence everywhere, so people will be able to contact you! Remember to check your email every day. I check mine at least 10 times a day in case people are trying to reach me about my business/blog/offers etc. No point in having one for your blog or business, if you're not checking your email!
