Earlier, Apple APPL 0.81 percent released the iOS 8.2 upgrade following the Apple Watch event. The upgrade includes compatibility to the iWatch, HealthKit enhancements and various bug fixes. The version 8.3 includes new password options in the iTunes & App Store settings. There would be a new menu that is called Password Settings that allows users to set up the number of times the firm must ask for one's iTunes store password.
The menu indicates a 'require a password for additional purchases after making a purchase with the iTunes email address from the iTunes Store, iBooks store or App Store with the gadget. The Require Password feature was available already in previous iOS versions within the General Restrictions menu. Nonetheless, the choice for turning off the Required Password for free downloads is new. A password would be needed for paid applications even if a Required Password for free downloads feature is activated. The giant phone maker's invention includes provisions for several power modes for the packaged product.
It even goes further still, suggesting that the correspondence between two devices can first ascertain if the packaged gadget was actually first purchased, locking it from setup in instances when it determines if it has been stolen instead. It can use transmissions from a staff of a store to authorize it or pre-shipping authorization for an email address if mailed.
The release date of the smart watch does not happen for another month. Nevertheless, the iPhone firm is giving a head start to iPhone developers. Most third-party apps such as Evernote, Instagram and MLB At Bat have issued upgrades that would integrate support for the iWatch. However, the same as the iPhone, support from third-party developers could set its wrist wearable apart from Pebble, Android Wear and other smart watch market entrants.
Moreover, almost a month ahead of the iWatch's launch, large brands have begun adding support for the device to their applications. Even though Twitter still does not support Android Wear with its application, it was one of the handful organizations today that released an upgrade to its application that adds support for the iWatch.
350 in nine countries starting April 24. The countries include Canada, Australia, France, China, Germany, Japan, Hong Kong, United Kingdom and the United States. The battery of the device lasts a full day. There are more than a dozen watch-friendly iOS applications arriving on the App Store recently, which include several applications that likely target the markets in which the watch would first launch, like the application of Qantas, an Australian airline.
Most likely, they are being released at present to enable people to prepare reviews of the iWatch to use third-party apps for the gadget. 32 billion in the first year or twelve months after its launch. Furthermore, a Reuters/Ipsos pool which was conducted earlier of March found that around forty percent of adult owners of iOS phone in the United States are enthusiastic on purchasing the iWatch.
Another survey of 3,000 people all over the world found that it could fuel the number of Android users to switch to iOS. In the meantime, another research earlier revealed that fifty percent of iPhone users, regardless of their region or country and the OS they are using currently, said they are strongly interested in the iWatch.
This is potentially bad news for Google and Samsung in particular. Users or Android are more interested in the iWatch that iOS owners. Moreover, since the smart wearable depends on having a smart phone, the product can fuel the number of Android users to switch to an iPhone instead. The applications on the smart wearable are intended to function as secondary applications aside from the ones that live on the phone.
